๐Ÿง˜ Yoga & Mindfulness

Milan has a thriving yoga scene. While the San Siro district itself has smaller studios, some excellent options are easily reachable:

  • Outdoor yoga in parks: During spring and summer, free or donation-based yoga sessions are held in Milan's parks, including Parco di Trenno and Parco del Monte Stella near San Siro
  • Studio classes: Multiple yoga studios in the CityLife and Sempione areas offer drop-in classes (โ‚ฌ15โ€“25 per session)

๐Ÿƒ Parks & Running Routes

San Siro is one of Milan's greenest districts, with several excellent options for runners and outdoor enthusiasts:

  • Ippodromo SNAI grounds: The expansive racecourse grounds (160 hectares) offer flat, shaded paths perfect for running. A loop around the track is approximately 2 km. Just 5 min from our apartments.
  • Parco di Trenno: One of Milan's largest parks (600,000 mยฒ), with wide paths through meadows and woodland. ~15 min walk or quick bus ride. Popular with local runners.
  • Monte Stella (Montagnetta di San Siro): An artificial hill with trails and panoramic views of the city and Alps. The loop trail is ~2.5 km with elevation gain โ€” great for hill training or scenic walks. ~20 min walk.
  • Parco Sempione: Milan's central park, reachable by metro (M5 to Lotto, then short walk). Beautiful 47-hectare park surrounding Castello Sforzesco.

Running tip: Early morning (7:00โ€“8:00) is the best time for running in Milan, especially in summer. The Ippodromo and Parco di Trenno are quiet and cool at that hour.
